Pen & Ink on Antique Map

Inspired by Ledger Art, created by Native Americans, primarily from the 1860’s to the 1920’s, I combine antique maps and pages from an atlas, and my version of pointillism and stippling into my creative perspectives. The background for this pen & ink drawing of a wild donkey is on a map of Arizona, which was published in Atlas, 1893. It measures 11 X 12.5 inches and is framed with patinaed copper to a 16 X 20.
