Art on Metal

After working the image out in dots and lines I then redraw it larger on cold pressed steel using acrylic pens. This is done only once making it an original on metal. The background metal is rusted and painted which takes a few days to complete. Allowing the paint to mix with the dust of the rust creates a unique, weathered expression and one of a kind background. The edges are then wrapped in patinaed copper giving the piece the illusion of being framed. All of this is done by hand to become part of the completed piece of art.
