Pen & Ink on Antique Map
Inspired by Ledger Art, created by Native Americans, primarily from the 1860’s to the 1920’s, I combine the art of Cartography in making maps, using antique maps and pages from an atlas, and my version of pointillism and stippling into my creative perspectives. The background for this pen & ink drawing of a brown trout is on a map of Wyoming, which was published by Rand McNally Atlas in 1937. It measures 11 X 14 inches and is framed with patinaed copper to a 16 X 20.
