Found Image of the Year 2011

Art, Dan Abernathy writes, “is the product of conscious intention.” His found images are those sights uncreated by artist’s hand, but not ignored by artistic eye. A girl standing on a dock for but a moment, once-dewy leaf popsicles in the bitter morning, the amalgamation of mediums left from artistic projects on a desk.

The written words behind all of these found Images are from a collaboration with Casey Dean.
