Complex Simplicity
Things are always more complicated than they seem ... and they're also
always far simpler. It all depends on what level we look at. Examine
events on too microscopic a scale, get distracted by day-to-day
ephemera, try to do too many tasks at once, turn everything into a
crisis --- and life becomes impossibly complex. Or focus on what's
really important --- and life is suddenly simple. Most of what we worry
about is unworthy of us. Some situations, individually or in
conjunction, are critical. Keep watch for them. Relax & be alert.

june twenty secound, two thousand eight
Yesterday was the beginning of summer and I started my water ritual of
"washing the day away."
It has been a long tome waiting and the feeling that came over me was
euphoric as ever. I stood on my rock and looked into the deep blue,
clear, cold water, dropped my towel and dove in feeling all the shit
from the past months peel of my naked body. I came up out of the water
giddy as ever. Now writing today I can't wait to get back to the lake
and do it again. The water was cold, so cold that my man parts hit my
backbone searching for warmth, but the feeling was grand and after I
stood for a moment in the sun I dove back in for another cleansing.
This is my religious ritual that I warship to everyday.
A
high water shot of my diving rock.

Amidst my quest of tattoo photographs I had one walk into the door the
other day. It was ink, but only henna ink. This little piece of art was
on the leg of my friend Connie, so I shot it to add to the collection.

As the readers of this blog know I started a tribute to the Tramp
Stamp. I am still looking for, and collecting images. Along this
pleasurable road I have seen many cool tattoos on women that I have
been left with little choice but to
broaden my collection. Now I'm not only looking for the infamous Tramp
Stamp, but also cool images of ink to start a new gallery of tattoo
photos. As for all the galleries on this site I shoot everything myself
so if you have something cool find me so I can add it.
Never going anyplace without my cameras I find images in many different
places and at many different times. One never knows what is going to
make an image, so a shooter has to have a camera with them at all
times. Nothing pisses a photographer off more then to miss a shot and
if that reason is due to not having your equipment with you then shame
on you.
Images are not always right to shoot and sometimes you
have to come back, but never stop consistently looking. When the lights
right, shoot it. I don't remember how many times I have stopped on the
side of the road, wondered down some trail or street looking for what
many walk on by, trying for an image. I know this part of who I am and
to stop it, or to stop any of the passion that I have is excepting
defeat and that is not who I am. I have to fallow my heart, and often
times this takes me to places that are different, but always
interesting.

Window, reflections and golden
light. I looked at this window for a long time until the sun started to
dance on it.

This all started last year, about
in October to be precise, with a lot of frustration, hair pulling and
hard work from everyone that was involved. Now for the most part we are
in and going strong. We still have a bit more to do, but the decoration
is done and I for one, am very happy and proud of how it looks. I'll be
adding pages for everything in the future but for now look at what has
developed.

I'm back on line and believe me
it has not been an easy trip. We moved Rock Rabbit to the new location,
something that you will be seeing on the web in the very near future,
and it was easier to move the entire contents then to move the DSL. I
have been fighting with CentryTel and Wyoming.com for over a month to
get connected. This comes from the two of them being competition and
the one that felt the full blunt details of their squabble was me. I
could go into the details but there is really no use. Besides it has
put to many more wrinkles and gray hair on me anyway.
It is good to be back and I hope that the long void has not weakened
the readers of this blog. I have a lot of new photographs, thoughts and
rants to share so stay tuned.
I wanted to add this self-portrait, (shot while driving.) Not to show
signs of frustration, or age, but rather because it reminds me of my
father and for that I am proud. He didn't have the piercing, but he did
have the lines. They were given to him for living life. My whole life
goal is to live life large, and that I have and will continue to do.
The lines I am getting a badge, a road map to what I have done and to
where I have gone.

The time between winter and spring is confusing to say the least. The
countryside is trying to turn green but is constantly bombarded with
the end of winter. This is an obvious statement when we see a batch of
grass that has been watered, but the sprinkler was left on. The result,
though damaging to the trees is grand place to play with a
camera.
A new collection of single words,
turned into something else.
Habits
Why do your habits kill me,
And mine set me free?
